Hadean's suite of digital archiving solutions is based on the Flexible Extensible Digital Object Repository Architecture (Fedora). Fedora is Open Source software and is free. The code of Fedora is publicly available on source-forge.net. The code is tested and robust since it is on its twelfth release since 2003. In addition a large and vibrant user community has produced a wide variety of user interfaces, front ends, middleware, applications and utilities.

Hadean has adopted Fedora with enthusiasm because of its open source structure, its modularity, and its extensibility. Based on Fedora's extendible architecture Hadean has developed a suite of bespoke client applications each for a different application environment with different user interfaces.

Hadean has extended Fedora for specific application environments. Currently 3 bespoke applications with specific user-interfaces are available. Although the bespoke applications are very extensive specific modifications can easily be made.

Hadean's purchase packages allow companies to own and operate both the hardware and the software of the digital archiving solutions within their own organisations, with or without support from Hadean or third parties.

Hadean's subscription packages are designed to enable companies and other organisations to focus on their core business supported by a digital archiving service whereby the hardware and software is fully managed by Hadean with a pay-as-you-store pricing model.

A user interface based on your requirements.

If your requirements cannot be fulfilled by the software solutions currently on offer and require the software to be built for your own needs. Hadean WISE is ideally placed to serve as a baseline extendible Digital Archive Architecture. Hadean WISE provides a full set of well documented Application Programming Interfaces based on Web-Services (WSDL), SOAP and REST interfaces to enable bespoke application development. You can choose to develop the software yourself, ask a third party or ask Hadean Technology to develop the required application software for you.
