We are developing an innovative new approach to creating, preserving, and sharing digital learning objects.
Hadean's Open Learning Object Repository and Exchange is based on the Flexible Extensible Digital Object Repository Architecture (Fedora). Fedora is Open Source software and is free.
Universities around the world have adopted Fedora with enthusiasm because of its open source structure, its modularity, and its extensibility. Based on Fedora's extendible architecture Hadean has extended Fedora with customized software solutions for the specific application environment of Secondary Education.
Edu•wise
Digital Archiving for schools and training institutions.
Fedora is the preferred Digital Archiving Solution of various UK Universities and other Universities around the world. Why not teach your students to work with Fedora while in parallel benefit from a digital archiving solution tailored to the needs of educational institutions. Edu•wise supports the archiving, preservation and exchange of educational material, school blogs, reports, and multimedia material. Edu•wise can also act as a gateway between Digital Archives of various schools and hence promote student interaction in a secure learning environment.
Stream•wise for schools
We are developing a streaming platform and exchange, enabling the ingestion, preservation, protection and distribution of school-made audio-video productions. The exchange acts as a syndication service to make sure the live streams and on-demand streams will only be delivered to subscribers of the exchange such as students, parents and partner schools.
School-made audio-video streams, for example sports events, can be added to the content repository, metadata describing the content applied, published live and preserved for generations, efficiently and securely.
Stream•wise is being developed in cooperation with IP Satellite News Gathering providers (SNG), Content Delivery Network providers (CDN) and Hadean Technology.
